Morgan McKinley is proud to be partnering with a well-established pharmaceutical company in Galway to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior Finance leadership role with a broad remit spanning business partnering, operational performance, people leadership and finance transformation within a regulated manufacturing environment.The focus of the role is to support the CFO and wider leadership team in understanding business performance, making informed decisions and driving continuous improvement across finance within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted Finance partner to the CFO and senior leadership team, providing insight, constructive challenge and commercial perspective.
- Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to understand key performance drivers and identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and cash generation.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and performance management processes, ensuring financial information supports forward-looking decision-making.
- Develop meaningful KPIs, analysis and management information that clearly link operational performance to financial outcomes.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation and ERP/finance systems implementation.
- Work cross-functionally to improve processes, data quality, reporting and overall ways of working.
- Support the CFO and leadership team with strategic projects, investment cases, scenario planning and key business decisions.
- Operate effectively within a regulated environment, balancing commercial priorities with appropriate governance and process discipline.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Experience in a senior Finance management and/or business partnering role.
- Proven experience managing, leading and developing people.
- Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceuticals, medical devices or another operationally complex and regulated environment.
- A strong track record of partnering with senior operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Experience leading, or playing a key role in, ERP, finance systems or wider finance transformation projects.
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making at senior level.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach, with the ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and operational delivery.
- A professional accounting qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
