About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a bright and ambitious recent graduate for a Trainee Accountant position with a leading Financial Services giant based in South Co Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity with amble room for professional growth and development.
This role supports the Finance team with IFRS, Solvency II and local reporting, including preparing MI packs on solvency, profit, expenses and key metrics. It involves helping with statutory financial statements, completing regulatory returns, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
The role also includes producing operational reports, analysing financial results for stakeholders, and assisting with expense planning, forecasting and variance analysis.

12 Months FTC: View to perm
Salary is DOE: €30,000-€32,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Support IFRS, Solvency II and local financial reporting, including preparation of MI packs covering solvency, profit by source, expenses and key performance indicators.
- Assist in the preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Statements.
- Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory returns for the Irish Financial Regulator and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare daily & month end bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of month end journals - prepayments, accruals to SAP.
- Provide analysis and interpretation of financial results to deliver clear insights for stakeholders.
- Produce operational reports for senior management and other business areas.
- Support expense reporting activities, including planning, forecasting, variance analysis and commentary.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 0-3 years accounting experience.
- Looking pursing professional qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong academic background with relevant bachelor's degree.
- Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of team working.
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and other departments.
