Our multinational client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team.The successful candidate will take ownership of the accurate recording, monitoring and reporting of stock, inventory and associated costs, while also supporting wider finance operations.
This is a hands-on, operational role where you will lead reconciliations, ensure robust controls and drive process improvements to provide reliable and actionable financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end financial accounting process for stock and inventory, including valuation, costing and reconciliation
Prepare regular reconciliations and month-end stock and cost reporting
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock and accounting records
Organise and oversee periodic physical stock counts
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate stock valuation and reporting
Analyse stock and cost reports to identify trends, slow-moving items or potential obsolescence, and recommend actions
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits
Contribute to wider finance team activities, including month-end and year-end close
Required Qualifications, Experience & Benefits:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
2+ years' experience in financial accounting with exposure to stock, costing, or inventory management (industry experience preferred)
Strong experience with ERP systems
Proven ability in process improvement, data analysis, and project work
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
