A leading organisation in the logistics sector is seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Finance Assistant to join their team on a long-term fixed-term contract until June 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same.
The role is based in North Dublin, just a short 10‑minute drive from Ashbourne, making it ideal for candidates with their own transport. You'll be joining a collaborative finance team and supporting a wide range of accounting and reporting activities across the business.
What You'll Be Doing

Managing the processing of purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry.

Investigating and resolving overhead‑related queries, identifying pricing discrepancies and cost‑saving opportunities.

Reviewing vendor accounts, completing reconciliations, and setting up new suppliers.

Preparing statutory submissions such as VAT and other required returns.

Supporting month‑end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, overhead reporting, and product‑level margin reviews.

Assisting with revenue and cost reconciliations across multiple systems.

Providing general finance support across the team as needed.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role.

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with Microsoft Office tools.

Someone who is curious, quick to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a busy environment.

Must have a full driving licence and access to a car.
