Morgan McKinley are currently partnering with a leading professional services and accountancy practice in Dublin to recruit an ambitious Tax Senior / Tax Assistant Manager to join their expanding tax advisory and compliance team.
This dual-track role is ideal for a qualified accountant or tax professional looking to bridge the gap between compliance execution and strategic client advisory. Working across a mixed portfolio of Corporate Tax, Income Tax, and Private Client matters, you will gain direct client exposure and step into a leadership role mentoring junior staff.
Tax Compliance Management: Oversee and review corporate, personal, and partnership tax returns (CT1, Form 11, VAT, RCT, and CGT) prepared by junior team members.
Advisory & Consulting: Assist Partners and Managers on high-value tax planning projects, including corporate restructures, succession planning, M&A due diligence, and property transactions.
Client Portfolio Management: Serve as a key point of contact for a diverse client portfolio, answering queries and building strong long-term relationships.
Revenue Interactivity: Manage Revenue queries, audits, and aspect queries on behalf of clients efficiently and professionally.
Team Supervision: Review working papers, delegate work, and provide ongoing mentoring and technical guidance to trainees and junior tax accountants.
Qualifications: AITI / CTA qualified, and/or ACA / ACCA qualified with post-qualification tax experience.
Experience: Minimum 2 years working within a tax department in an Irish accountancy practice (Big 4, Top 10, or mid-tier firm).
Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency across Corporate Tax, Income Tax, Capital Taxes, and VAT.
Systems: Familiarity with Irish tax software (e.g., ROS, Alphatax, Relate, Sage, or CCH) is required.
Soft Skills: Excellent commercial awareness, strong written communication skills, and a collaborative team mindset.
