Tax Senior
Opportunity Overview
We have been engaged by a rapidly expanding tax consultancy to recruit an ambitious Tax Professional.
This is an ideal role for Senior Tax Consultant or Assistant Tax Manager with a strong interest in advisory work.
Unlike traditional compliance-heavy roles, this position sits within an agile, specialist firm that works with ambitious Irish businesses, high-growth entrepreneurs, and private clients.
The Role:
Working alongside experienced tax professionals, you will manage a varied portfolio covering advisory mandates, transactional projects, and complex reviews.
- Advise ambitious and scaling businesses across the corporate lifecycle, from seed/expansion to exit.
- Contribute to advisory assignments including corporate reorganisations, group restructurings, management buyouts (MBOs), and M&A tax due diligence.
- Assist internationally active and multinational clients with cross-border tax considerations, inbound/outbound structuring, and double tax relief.
- Maximise corporate reliefs, including R&D tax credits, EIIS/CGT reliefs, and retirement relief.
- Deliver end-to-end tax planning for business founders, private clients, and family offices.
- Formulate succession plans and wealth protection frameworks across generations, mitigating Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT) exposures.
- Draft high-quality technical memorandums and commercial client reports breaking down complex legislation into clear business solutions.
- Serve as a direct point of contact for an assigned client base, attending planning sessions, board briefings, and technical consultations.
- Review complex corporate (CT1) and income tax (Form 11) computations and submissions prepared by junior team members.
- Mentor, train, and support CTA/ACA trainees sitting professional examinations.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for a Tax Senior ready for greater advisory autonomy, or a Tax Assistant Manager seeking a commercially driven environment with less red tape and clear progression to Manager.
- Qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA / AITI). An accompanying accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) is welcome but not strictly required.
- Experience within a large Irish Accounting Practice or Tax Advisory Firm required.
- Confident interpersonal and presentation skills.
