Morgan McKinley is working with a retail brand who are seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager (Maternity Cover) to take full ownership of the bran's social media presence across all platforms. You'll be responsible for strategy, execution, content creation, community engagement, reporting, and supporting cross-functional departments including e-commerce, customer service, and retail.

Key Responsibilities
Content & Campaigns
- Own and manage all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube, Pinterest, etc.)
- Create and execute engaging, trend-driven content in-house, aligned with brand tone and strategy
- Plan and manage content days and brand shoots
- Influencer and gifting strategy
- Collaborations including collection management
- Maintain and update the content calendar in alignment with campaigns, launches, and key dates
- Ensure timely scheduling and publishing of posts across all platforms
Influencer & Community Strategy
- Oversee influencer strategy - from gifting campaigns to paid partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with creators and brand ambassadors
- Support customer service team by managing and directing DMs appropriately
- Liaise with retail stores to drive footfall and awareness through localised content
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor performance across platforms and provide weekly and monthly reports
- Use insights to optimise content and engagement strategies
- Conduct competitor analysis and trend forecasting to inform planning
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to support product launches and web campaigns
- Align social strategy with business goals and promotional calendars
- Assist with customer service handovers where needed (e.g. DMs, comments)
Skills & Experience
- A confident social media manager with minimum 3 years' experience in a social media role
- Strong understanding of platform-specific content and strategy
- Skilled in content creation - filming, editing, posting, and storytelling
- Proficient with social media tools (e.g. Later, Canva, CapCut, Meta Suite, TikTok tools)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working both independently and collaboratively
- Passion for fashion, lifestyle, and youth-focused culture
Nice to Have
- Experience with influencer outreach and paid partnership strategy
- E-commerce or retail background
- Knowledge of customer service best practices
