Morgan McKinley has partnered with a top-tier consulting and advisory firm as the seek an experienced Senior Analyst / Senior QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in the SS&C Advent Geneva platform. You will support a major financial services client, owning Geneva testing, analysis, and release readiness across upgrades, patches, and custom enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Geneva SME, reviewing releases, hotfixes, configurations, and custom workflows.
- Design and execute full regression test cycles for Geneva upgrades and environment refreshes.
- Validate accounting calculations, instrument setups, pricing, P&L, NAV impacts, and security attributes.
- Develop automated and manual test cases; manage defects and retesting with internal teams and vendor support.
- Own the testing lifecycle-planning, environment setup, execution, sign-off, and go-live support.
- Maintain test documentation, regression scripts, SOPs, and release notes.
- Support UAT for Geneva-integrated systems (data warehouse, reporting, reconciliation).
- Prepare test summaries, release packages, and advise on operational risk and go-live readiness.
- Collaborate across technology, operations, accounting, and vendor teams; support incident analysis and mentor junior staff.
Required Experience
- 5-10+ years hands-on Advent Geneva (upgrades, configuration, modules).
- Strong background in QA, regression testing, and test case development.
- Solid investment accounting knowledge (multi-currency portfolios, derivatives, corporate actions, fees, performance).
- Experience in hedge funds, asset management, buy-side, or fund administration.
- Competent with SQL and data validation.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Automated testing frameworks or QA scripting experience.
- Agile delivery and structured release management familiarity.
- Knowledge of Geneva integrations (reconciliation, reporting, data warehouse).
