A semi-state investment organisation is seeking to appoint a senior investment professional to support the development and management of long-term investment portfolios across both private and public markets.
The role offers exposure to institutional investment management, portfolio strategy, external manager oversight, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic and evolving investment environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting investment decision-making, portfolio implementation, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing development of investment capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of long-term investment strategies across a range of asset classes, with a particular focus on private markets.
- Assist in the selection, appointment, and ongoing oversight of external investment managers and advisers.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk, cashflows, and investment activity against agreed objectives and benchmarks.
- Conduct market and investment analysis to assess opportunities, trends, and risks.
- Contribute to portfolio reporting, governance materials, and stakeholder communications.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support efficient portfolio operations and administration.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, operational processes, and team development activities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and broader investment community.
Requirements:
- Third-level degree and professional qualification e.g. CFA, ACA or equivalent.
- Significant experience within investment management, funds, asset management, or a related financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of private markets and institutional investment processes.
- Experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, or manager oversight.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and commercial awareness.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications would be advantageous.
