We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Finance team of a leading, fast-paced retail business.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cashflow and partnering with teams across the wider business.
With offices in the heart of Dublin City Centre, they are operating with a hybrid working model (3 days onsite).
The Role:
You'll take ownership of key areas of the month-end process, balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow forecasting, while providing commercial insight to help drive business performance. You'll also work closely with senior leaders and operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, stock management and continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and own specific P&L and balance sheet areas.
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations and weekly cashflow forecasting.
- Partner with department heads to analyse costs and identify performance improvements.
- Support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and year-end statutory audits.
- Provide finance support and insight to commercial, operational, merchandising and supply chain teams.
- Support payroll, VAT, PAYE, Intrastat and VIES submissions.
- Assist with stock management, stock takes and cycle counts.
- Own P&L reporting and support Loss Prevention analysis.
- Drive improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting as the business continues to develop its ERP capabilities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with 3-4+ years' post-qualified experience, ideally gained within a retail, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or operational finance environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, a good understanding of IFRS and internal controls
- Advanced Excel and strong systems skills.
- Commercially minded, highly organised and hands-on, with the confidence to work across teams and communicate financial information clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable managing competing priorities and have a positive, can-do approach.
