Morgan McKinley is currently partnering with an established manufacturing business to recruit an adaptable and hands-on Accountant on a fixed-term contract basis.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will join a proactive, close-knit finance team based fully on-site to foster high levels of collaboration. This business places a strong focus on continuous improvement, offering a varied hands-on role where you can drive process efficiencies, optimize ERP systems, and support key finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, manage prepayments/accruals, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset registers.
Manage calculation, filing, and payment for Irish and UK VAT, payroll support, and C&E returns.
Conduct internal audits, ensure compliance with quality/safety control standards, and coordinate external audit requirements.
Actively drive team efficiencies through ERP system upgrades, automation, and continuous workflow enhancements.
Assist with credit control, commercial invoicing, inventory/stocktakes, and operational KPI reporting.
Contribute to annual budgeting processes and support the implementation of CSRD/sustainability data collection frameworks.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
Strong background in month-end close processes, basic tax knowledge (VAT/PAYE), and reconciliation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience driving efficiencies within integrated ERP systems.
Thrives in a fully on-site, team-oriented environment with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
