I am partnering exclusively with a long-established Construction/Engineering company in South Wicklow, who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
Reporting into the wider finance function, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory financial statements, while supporting month-end and year-end close processes. You will also provide financial analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to support business decision-making.
The business is operating with a hybrid working model and would be offering a competitive salary/package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end and year-end close.
- Maintain the general ledger and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse financial results and investigate variances against budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and support external audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including IFRS 15, and relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
- Support VAT, RCT, corporation tax and other regulatory filings.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, working capital monitoring and treasury activities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Maintain effective financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with operational teams and provide financial analysis and support.
- Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
- 3+ years' experience in a financial accounting or similar role.
- Strong understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Experience with IFRS 15, audit management, statutory reporting and ERP/accounting systems would be advantageous.
