Senior Data Engineer

I'm currently exclusively hiring a 'Senior Data Engineer' for an industry leading client in the construction and manufacturing industry on an inital 6 Month Daily Rate contract.

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to contribute to wider enterprise analytics projects.

The Role:
Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Type: Initial 6 Month Contract
Location: 2 Days per week onsite in Dublin City
Daily Rate: DOE

Skillset Required:

• 8+ years experience in a similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and the medallion architecture.
• Extensive experience with Python, PySpark and SQL. Proficiency for scalable batch processing, performance tuning and large dataset handling.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Key Vault, networking (VNets/private endpoints), and cost/performance optimization.
• Extensive ELT/ETL Pipeline Design & Orchestration, can design reliable pipelines entirely in Databricks.
• Experience with Dimensional/Star Schema Modelling for designing dimensions and facts aligned to downstream Power BI needs and data products.
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with Power BI developers to deliver performant semantic models.
