Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Reliability Engineer based in Dublin.

In this role, you will champion platform resilience, eliminate manual overhead through deep automation, and take ownership of real-time monitoring and incident resolution across complex distributed infrastructure. This role suits an inquisitive, hands-on technologist who wants to look under the hood of high-performance architecture, dissect host and network-level behaviors, and innovate within a strictly governed, high-throughput operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the end-to-end technical operations, performance, and uptime of mission-critical execution systems.
• Design, build, and deploy custom tools to monitor system health and automate operational workflows.
• Lead cross-stack troubleshooting across hardware, software, application layers, and network components.
• Act as an active contributor to incident management, root-cause investigations, change management, and post-incident learning reviews.
• Translate operational requirements and usage trends into robust system reliability targets.
• Guide and collaborate with adjacent software engineering, architecture, and business operations teams on reliability engineering practices.
• Partner with data center engineers to implement changes, configure hardware, and maintain rigorous documentation.
• Mentor peers and drive modern SRE standards across the broader technical organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting complex, large-scale distributed production environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Linux, alongside daily scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Experience with source code management using Git.
• Strong low-level networking foundation, including host-side networking, TCP/IP stack internals, routing, and multicast traffic.
• Working experience troubleshooting network traffic at the packet level using packet capture utilities.
• Practical knowledge of data center operations, enterprise server hardware, and low-latency network cards (Solarflare, Mellanox).
• Hands-on familiarity with Arista and Cisco switch hardware and their respective CLIs.
• Experience with network monitoring and latency analytics platforms like Corvil.
• Beneficial background: Familiarity with compiled systems languages (Java, C++, or Rust), agile delivery frameworks, or performance tuning in regulated environments.
