An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Risk Manager to join a leading organisation delivering a significant portfolio of capital investment and infrastructure projects.
This is a senior role responsible for developing and leading the project and programme risk function, providing strategic risk advice across major projects and supporting senior stakeholders across delivery, cost, schedule and commercial risk.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior leadership role within a major capital delivery environment, working across strategically important projects ranging from €1m to €500m.
You will have the opportunity to shape the organisation's approach to project risk, lead a specialist team and work closely with senior stakeholders across a significant infrastructure portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project and programme risk management across a major capital delivery portfolio.
- Develop and maintain risk frameworks, registers and reporting platforms.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including QCRA, QSRA and Monte Carlo analysis.
- Advise on cost, schedule, procurement, contractual and commercial risks.
- Develop robust mitigation and contingency strategies and escalate significant risks where required.
- Provide strategic risk advice to project leadership, sponsors and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure project and programme risk management aligns with wider enterprise risk management.
- Build, manage and develop a small team of risk professionals.
- Embed risk and opportunity management into project delivery.
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in risk management, project controls, assurance or a related discipline on major capital projects.
- 5+ years' people management experience.
- Strong experience with QCRA, QSRA, Monte Carlo simulation and integrated cost/schedule risk modelling.
- Experience across major infrastructure sectors such as energy, utilities, transport or construction.
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost, schedule, procurement and commercial risk.
- Experience with tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk or Safran.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical risk analysis into senior-level insights.
- A relevant degree and project management or project controls qualification.
