The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Qualified Accountant to join this busy team. Coming from a small or medium-sized Irish accounting practice, you will bring broad, hands-on experience across financial reporting, tax, and audit.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role ideal for someone who excels at building strong client relationships, resolving complex queries, and presenting financial information with clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end preparation of statutory financial statements for corporate and non-corporate clients.
- Completion and review of corporate tax, income tax, VAT, PAYE, and RCT, providing advice to clients where appropriate.
- Lead a small number of audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards.
- Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients; build trust, resolve day-to-day queries promptly, and present financial reports clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Support clients with management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and advisory services, while actively identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and attract new business to the practice.
- Mentor and review the work of junior and trainee accountants to ensure continuous quality control and team development.
Requirements
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA).
- Essential: prior experience working within a small or medium-sized Irish accounting practice.
- Strong communication skill
- Proactive, organised, and confident in resolving client issues independently.
- Proficient with practice software
