    Project Manager - Aviation Infrastructure

    Dublin Permanent Competitive

    Project Manager - Aviation Infrastructure

    About the job

    Project Manager - Aviation Infrastructure

    About the Company

We are working with a premier global collective of designers, advisors, and experts dedicated to sustainable development. Within this organisation, their aviation team is a recognised leader in delivering transformative infrastructure. From planning state-of-the-art terminals to engineering world-class runways, they are at the absolute forefront of the aviation industry.

    The Opportunity

This is a defining career opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to join a growing Aviation team based in Dublin.

You will step into a pivotal role managing key packages within one of the largest capital investments in aviation infrastructure Ireland has ever seen, a landmark, multi-billion-euro airport capital development programme. This extensive, multi-year plan involves transformative upgrades to terminal spaces, baggage systems, airfield resilience, advanced security technologies, and critical sustainability infrastructure.

Furthermore, because this aviation team operates a global center of excellence model, your scope won't be limited to Ireland; you will regularly collaborate on and support major international airport masterplans and development schemes across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Delivery & Governance

    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, multidisciplinary aviation infrastructure projects (from initial feasibility and planning through to detailed design, construction, and final Operational Readiness [ORAT]).
    • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk registers, ensuring all milestones are met safely and within financial constraints.
    • Implement robust project governance frameworks aligned with rigorous quality standards and relevant national and international aviation regulations.

    Stakeholder & Client Management

    • Act as a trusted point of contact for key client bodies, navigating complex operational environments with minimal disruption to live, active airport facilities.
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including structural/civil engineers, transport planners, sustainability consultants, and specialist aviation technology vendors.

    Essential Requirements

    • Education: A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field.
    • Experience: 2+ years of proven project management experience, with a solid track record of delivering major infrastructure, heavy civil, or commercial construction projects.
    • Professional Alignment: Strong commercial acumen, excellent risk management capabilities, and a deep understanding of contractual frameworks (e.g., NEC or FIDIC contracts).
    • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage high-profile external stakeholders and collaborative joint ventures.

    Desirable (But Not Essential)

    • Direct experience working within live airfield or terminal environments (understanding the nuances of airside vs. landside project execution).
    • Familiarity with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.

    What's on Offer

    • Unrivalled Project Portfolio: The chance to put your stamp on a nation's most high-profile public infrastructure expansion while gaining exposure to international airport hubs.
    • Culture of Collaboration: A flexible, inclusive, and highly supportive work environment built on collective ingenuity.
    • Total Rewards Package: Highly competitive salary, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, a robust pension scheme, and performance-related bonuses.
    • Continuous Growth: Dedicated funding for professional development, chartership pathways, and access to a global internal mobility network.
