Overview:
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in West Dublin is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems and production equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment and production machinery
- Diagnose faults and carry out corrective and preventative maintenance activities
- Support production teams in minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability
- Install, test, and commission new equipment as required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in line with GMP requirements
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors when necessary
Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter or equivalent trade certification
- MAMF (Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitting) degree desirable
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Experience working within GMP and quality-controlled environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
