Our client is a rapidly growing international financial services firm with offices based in Dublin City Centre. They are seeking an experienced investment and asset strategy professional for a new role on an expanding team.
This is a broad and commercially focused role supporting the development and oversight of investment strategy, strategic asset allocation, portfolio optimisation and balance sheet management activities across a diverse range of asset classes and investment solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with investment, finance, risk and strategy teams to support both new initiatives and existing portfolios in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The position would suit an experienced investment professional, ALM specialist, or quantitative finance candidate with strong analytical capabilities and a genuine interest in investment strategy and markets.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the development and ongoing review of strategic asset allocation and portfolio strategy frameworks.
- Analyse and monitor investment risks including interest rate, credit, liquidity, inflation and currency risks.
- Contribute to portfolio optimisation, hedging strategies and investment solution design.
- Work across a broad range of asset classes including fixed income, private credit and alternative investments.
- Support stress testing, scenario analysis and financial modelling activities.
- Partner with stakeholders across investment, finance, risk and commercial teams on strategic initiatives and transactions.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of investment governance, reporting and analytical frameworks.
- Monitor market, regulatory and industry developments and assess implications for investment strategy.
- Support the ongoing improvement of investment data, modelling tools and reporting capabilities.
Requirements:
- Degree and professional qualification e.g. CFA or equivalent
- Significant experience in investments, asset strategy, ALM, treasury, actuarial or quantitative finance environments.
- Strong understanding of investment markets, portfolio construction and investment risk management.
- Experience working with asset allocation, cashflow modelling, scenario analysis or hedging strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
- Experience using analytical and data tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, R, Power BI or similar.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant professional qualification preferred, though candidates with equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
Package:
- €100-120k base salary dependent on experience and with some flexibility
