Morgan McKinley is delighted to partner with a prominent international investment services institution currently seeking an experienced professional for a Risk & Data Governance position. This is a permanent role based in Dublin, offering a flexible hybrid working model.
The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role within the risk management function, supporting the implementation and ongoing operation of the data governance framework. You will help ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset, driving operational efficiency, compliance, and proactive risk mitigation across the organisation.
Primary Functions:

Framework Implementation & Maintenance: Assist in the rolling out, embedding, and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise data governance framework, including updating data management policies, procedures, and RACI matrices.

Data Quality & Metadata Management: Support the identification and monitoring of Critical Data Elements. Maintain the Data Catalogue and Data Taxonomy while assisting with metadata management and data quality assessments.

Issue Tracking & Remediation: Actively track, investigate, and help remediate data issues, contributing to data maturity assessments and ensuring robust data ownership records are kept.

Reporting & Training Support: Support the creation of data scorecards, maturity assessments, and reports for senior management and risk committees. Contribute to the development of data governance training and awareness materials.
What We Are Seeking:

Professional Background: 3+ years of experience in data governance, risk management, compliance, or a related capacity, ideally gained within the financial services or asset servicing sector.

Functional Proficiency: A solid understanding of data governance concepts, data lifecycle management, and data quality platforms. Exposure to data catalogues and governance tools is a distinct advantage.
