Morgan McKinley are partnering with a leading Irish investment management firm source a Helpdesk Support Engineer to join their busy IT team. This is a hands-on, impactful role, supporting approximately 95 staff across a dynamic technology environment. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day IT support, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to ongoing improvements in IT infrastructure and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff across all departments, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
- Maintain and monitor IT systems, including network, endpoints, and cloud services.
- Contribute to cybersecurity practices, backup monitoring, patch management, and firewall administration.
- Assist in documenting IT processes and contributing to a knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the IT team on projects and process improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in an IT-related discipline.
- 1-2 years' experience in an IT Helpdesk or technical support role.
- Knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Professionalism, accountability, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Exposure to endpoint protection, patch management, and firewall administration.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and cybersecurity practices.
- Interest in cloud technologies (AWS/Microsoft) and continuous learning.
