We are partnering with a leading public sector organisation to recruit a Head of Reward on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced reward professional to lead and shape the organisation's reward strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and public service values.
The Opportunity
As Head of Reward, you will play a key leadership role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive reward programmes-including compensation, benefits, and pensions. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that reward structures attract, retain, and motivate employees while upholding transparency, compliance, and fairness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation's total reward strategy.
- Lead annual salary and bonus review processes.
- Manage benefits, pensions, and insured group schemes.
- Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on compensation and reward matters.
- Oversee benchmarking, job evaluation, and grading activities.
- Lead the reward team, ensuring strong performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and legislative requirements.
- Partner with internal departments and external providers (e.g. payroll, pension brokers).
- Streamline and automate reward-related processes using HR systems.
- Support remuneration committee processes and reporting requirements.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior reward or HR leadership role.
- CIPD qualified and degree in HR, Finance, or a business-related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and public sector frameworks.
- Experience managing outsourced payroll, pension, and benefits providers.
- Advanced skills in HRIS and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
