A really exciting opportunity has opened up for a Head of HR to join a leading Wholesalers, with responsibility for a headcount of 450 colleagues across multiple locations nationwide. Reporting into the CEO, you will be tasked with taking HR to the next level in the organisation, ensuring that the HR strategy is aligned to the businesses goals and objectives and driving a people-centered approach and strategic HR initiatives for impactful change and growth.
Hybrid: very flexible approach - regular travel across different branches in Ireland is required (car allowance offered)
Key Responsibilities:

People-Centric Leadership
- Prioritize a people-first approach across HR practices and initiatives.
- Lead annual reviews for senior roles and key talent to support succession planning and knowledge continuity.
- Develop succession strategies for critical positions and senior management.

Engagement & Communication
- Manage internal communications, including newsletters and recruitment ads.
- Oversee employee engagement surveys, ensuring effective communication and actions in response to feedback.
- Drive a people-centered focus during organizational changes.

Strategic Planning
- Collaborate on 5-year, 3-year, and annual strategic plans, with accountability for HR, talent, and ESG objectives.

Talent Acquisition
- Lead recruitment and onboarding across all levels, including executive hiring.

Learning & Development
- Conduct training needs analysis to align with organizational goals.
- Develop new training programs and participate in global projects, including the rollout of online learning platforms.

Industrial Relations
- Oversee all industrial relations, including WRC hearings and trade union negotiations.
- Provide expert guidance on employment terms, HR policies, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and policies.

Compensation & Benefits
- Drive salary reviews, cost-of-living adjustments, annual bonus allocation, and pension management.
- Lead LTIP allocations, gender pay gap analysis, and car allowance reviews.

Employer Branding & DEI Initiatives
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance employer brand and lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to create an inclusive and dynamic workplace.
