We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Operative to join an established onsite facilities management team supporting a leading global organisation.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused role responsible for helping to ensure the workplace is safe, functional, well-maintained and welcoming throughout the day. You will play an important part in delivering a high-quality workplace experience, responding to day-to-day requests and supporting a range of facilities and workplace services.
The successful candidate will be practical, organised and approachable, with a strong customer service mindset and the ability to manage a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Facilities Services team, responding to reactive requests and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with agreed service levels.
- Support employees and workplace users with facilities-related issues, ensuring requests are appropriately logged and managed through the relevant service management systems.
- Provide a friendly, professional and helpful service to customers and colleagues.
- Support day-to-day workplace operations, including:
- Office moves, changes and exits.
- General upkeep of workstations, meeting rooms, games rooms and communal areas.
- Meeting room checks and readiness.
- Furniture moves and workplace setup.
- Management and replenishment of office supplies and stationery points.
- Ad hoc mailroom deliveries.
- Monthly vehicle/van support as required.
- Support for workplace refreshment and snack programmes, including deliveries and setup.
- Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs to internal and external building fabric, fixtures and equipment.
- Help ensure all customer-facing areas are consistently presented to a high standard and ready for use.
- Work collaboratively with the wider facilities team to ensure services are delivered effectively and in accordance with established procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a facilities, workplace, building services or similar operational environment.
- Ideally able to demonstrate 1-3 years' relevant experience.
- Customer-focused, approachable and confident communicating with people at all levels.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
- Practical and proactive, with a willingness to get involved in a varied range of workplace tasks.
- Able to maintain accurate records and handle information with appropriate confidentiality.
- Familiar with working to service levels, procedures and established operational processes.
