We are seeking an organised and detail-focused EMEA Payroll Assistant to join my clients organisation to support their HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is created to provide maternity leave cover. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to international payroll operations within a large, multinational organisation.
Working closely with HR, Finance and external payroll partners, you'll play an important role in ensuring employees across multiple European countries are paid accurately and on time, while supporting ongoing improvements to payroll processes and systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating monthly payroll activities for employees across Ireland, and other European countries
- Liaising with outsourced payroll providers to ensure payroll data is submitted accurately and within deadlines
- Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders
- Supporting pension administration and payroll-related benefits processes
- Assisting with payroll reporting, reconciliations and audit requests
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data
- Working closely with HR, Finance and international stakeholders to resolve payroll matters
- Supporting process improvement initiatives, including automation and efficiency projects
- Contributing to documentation and continuous improvement of payroll procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a payroll position previously (required)
- Strong understanding of Irish payroll processes and legislation
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member
Desirable Experience
- Payroll qualification IPASS (required)
- Exposure to multiple entities / EMEA countried in a payroll function (desired)
- Pension administration experience
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, lookups and reporting
- Experience using automation, AI tools or digital solutions to improve administrative processes
- Basic understanding of accounting and payroll reconciliations
