Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Finglas Warehouse. This role is split approximately 80% driving and 20% warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers while supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Duties (80%)
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road traffic legislation and company policies.
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections accurately and on time.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are secured correctly during transport.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer proof of delivery.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
Warehouse Duties (20%)
- Assist with receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Carry out stock movements and support stock control activities as required.
- Comply with all company health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Full Category C (Rigid Truck) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Good understanding of safe driving and warehouse practices.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good level of physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:15 am - 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm
- 39 hours per week
