A leading Insurance underwriter in Ireland is growing its team as its now providing a range of services to thousands of clients. They have very ambitious plans to grow the function over the next 10 years and want to bring in experienced commercial underwriters to reach their goals and to manage broker relationships that are increasing on a regular basis.
They are looking for Commercial Underwriters to join the team across Property and Liability mainly but have ambitious plans for growth across the entire business. The commercial underwriter will work closely with technical specialists that liaise with business development functions to achieve growth targets.
You will be a crucial part of assessing and analysing risks associated with commercial insurance policies, and work closely with brokers, clients, and internal teams providing exceptional service. The successful underwriter will partner with Sales and distribution colleagues to generate and bring on new risks so to deliver against agreed performance and service metrics.
Role and responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite insurance policies, ensuring the best coverage.
- Collaborate with sub-brokers to understand their unique insurance needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulations to provide expert advice
