Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is undertaking a major transformation programme migrating its existing mortgage book from a legacy servicing platform onto Temenos Transact. As part of this programme, we're seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the core banking team in Ireland at the discovery/design stage.
This is a genuinely hands-on role. You'll be the analytical backbone of the migration facilitating requirements workshops, engaging directly with business and technical stakeholders, and producing the detailed documentation that both business and delivery teams will build from. This is not a coordination or oversight role: you will be expected to write your own requirements documentation, not simply direct others to produce it.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with mortgage business, finance, and compliance stakeholders to define how the mortgage book will be configured on Temenos Transact
- Engage directly with the outsourced mortgage servicing provider's subject matter experts to extract detailed knowledge of current platform functionality, ensuring accurate translation to the new system
- Produce detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and configuration/parameterisation documentation for handover to technical delivery teams
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery partners, translating business needs into technical requirements and challenging proposed approaches where they don't align with how the business is serviced today
- Support data mapping and gap analysis between the legacy platform and Temenos Transact
- Coordinate across a cross-functional team including business owners, testing/QA, and technical analysts
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience configuring or migrating a mortgage (or comparable lending) platform, with strong understanding of mortgage servicing operations - particularly day-2 servicing complexity such as rate changes, arrears, and regulatory-driven parameter changes
- Proven ability to personally author detailed, developer-ready requirements documentation - not solely facilitate or delegate this work
- Strong stakeholder facilitation skills, with experience running structured workshops across business, compliance, and technical audiences
- Comfortable engaging directly with technical delivery teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications
Desirable:
- Direct experience with Temenos Transact, ideally in a mortgages/lending context
- Experience with core banking platform migrations specifically (as opposed to system replacement or process change within an existing platform)
- Experience working with outsourced/third-party servicing providers
