Associate Director - Fund Accounting

Our client is global financial services firm with offices based in Dublin City Centre. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join on a permanent basis. This role requires strong technical expertise in fund accounting and a solid understanding of the operational landscape, challenges, and evolving demands of the asset management industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening internal processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and enhancing operational performance across the finance and fund administration environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal finance and fund accounting strategy.
- Enhance fund administration processes, including NAV production, controls, reconciliations and data quality.
- Oversee a range of fund structures and support system setup, configuration and operational effectiveness.
- Lead internal projects, process improvements and operational change initiatives.
- Analyse current operating environments and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex fund accounting issues, valuations and calculations.
- Manage internal teams and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivery of priorities.
- Develop improved management information, reporting tools and KPI frameworks to support performance oversight.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting or fund administration, ideally within a large financial services organisation.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services and asset management industry, particularly fund administration and operational processes.
- Professional qualification in accounting or a related discipline (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Proactive, self-driven and capable of managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively across departments.
