Procurement Lead

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to take ownership of our clients procurement and material readiness from drawing release through to workshop production.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure structural steel sections, plate and specialist items

• Negotiate pricing, lead times and delivery schedules

• Plan procurement in line with project and fabrication programmes

• Coordinate with drawing office, planning and production teams

• Manage deliveries to suit yard and workshop capacity

• Ensure material is checked, booked in, allocated and saw-ready

• Maintain certification and traceability to EN 1090 standards

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience buying steel within structural steel fabrication, stockholding or construction

• Strong knowledge of structural steel products and fabrication sequencing

• Excellent planning, organisation and supplier management skills

• Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness

• Experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g. StruMIS, PowerFab, FabTrol or similar)
