We are recruiting on behalf of a growing company for a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit Finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with solid accounts experience who enjoys variety and working collaboratively across the business.
This role will be based on site for 20 hours per week based on the east side of Cork City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain supplier accounts, including documentation and approvals
- Process purchase invoices accurately in SAGE 50, reconcile supplier statements and manage invoice queries
- Allocate customer payments, resolve discrepancies and support credit control activities
- Respond to customer and supplier queries professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate financial and operational records across internal systems
- Assist with month-end tasks, reporting and VAT preparation
- Provide ad-hoc support to the finance and wider business teams as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in finance administration or accounts
- Experience with SAGE 50 is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident communicator with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills, especially Excel and Microsoft Office
