A leading organisation based in Cork is seeking to appoint an Employment Law Specialist to work as a HR Manager (Advisory and Compliance) in its Employee Relations and Policy Centre of Expertise. This role is ideally suited to a solicitor or barrister with a strong employment law background. You will provide trusted counsel on employment law, policy, and compliance matters, working closely with HR leaders, business partners, and stakeholders across the business.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis of 3 days in the Cork office per week and 2 days remotely. Pension, Life Assurance, Bonus and many other benefits also will be offered to the successful candidate.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide expert advice on all employment law queries across the business in ROI.
- Lead the development and review of HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Develop, review, and standardise contracts of employment.
- Design and implement effective compliance and policy strategies.
- Oversee eligibility-to-work processes, including process mapping and continuous improvement.
- Support employee relations processes such as investigations and grievances.
- Draft, review, and amend HR documentation and third-party submissions.
- Manage and provide oversight of HR support channels and act as the point of escalation for queries.
- Deliver presentations, webinars, and training sessions on employment law and ER matters.
- Support HR projects, acquisitions, and policy/regulatory consultations as required.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years' PQE, including experience in employment law..
- Strong knowledge of employment law in the Republic of Ireland.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and build trusted relationships.
Desirable
- Experience working within a large organisation or advising multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience managing HR support functions or policy development.
