Morgan McKinley is delighted to partner exclusively with a leading commercial manufacturing, import, and distribution business operating across Ireland and the UK. As a core subsidiary of a publicly listed global enterprise, the organization maintains a major central head office in Cork alongside an extensive network of regional operational and distribution hubs.
To support their operational expansion and robust financial strategy, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead site finance functions, oversee group reporting, and manage core financial controls.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will play a central role in maintaining financial governance, leading group reporting requirements, and driving commercial performance across the division. You will lead and mentor a finance team of six, taking full ownership of monthly management accounts, statutory audits, working capital forecasting, and treasury management.
Financial Control & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, executive financial packs, balance sheet lead schedules, and group reporting submissions.
Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and support an established finance team of 6.
Treasury & FX Management: Drive cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, banking relationships, and active foreign exchange (FX) management (including rolling and swapping contracts).
Commercial & Margin Analysis: Lead detailed margin reviews and revenue/margin forecasting to provide actionable commercial insights to senior leadership.
Budgeting & Audit Control: Coordinate the annual budgeting cycle, statutory accounts preparation, and act as the primary lead for internal and external audit processes.
Governance & Operational Oversight:
Manage statutory compliance, VAT filings, credit insurance, insurance renewals, and weekly payroll approvals.
Serve as the key liaison for parent company requests across Finance, IT, and HR.
Manage site IT requirements in coordination with Group IT and oversee customer integration systems.
Support international trade and customs compliance standards (e.g., AEO framework).
Professional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in an industry environment.
Systems & ERP Literacy: Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP systems fluency (prior ERP rollout or implementation experience is highly advantageous).
Leadership & Drive: Proven supervisory experience with strong interpersonal skills to drive team deliverables and meet tight deadlines.
Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail, commercial curiosity, and a proactive, deadline-driven mindset.
Trade Compliance: Exposure to international supply chain, trade, or customs compliance frameworks is desirable.
