Finance Business Partner - Cork - Perm - Hybrid
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join a growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight, and influencing strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business functions through effective financial planning, reporting, analysis, and governance while contributing to ongoing business improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders across business functions to provide financial guidance and support.
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for operational and capital expenditure.
- Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Challenge assumptions within financial plans and ensure robust forecasting methodologies are applied.
- Support financial governance, compliance, and risk management across assigned business areas.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Contribute to business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and strategic analysis as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification with at least five years' post-qualification experience.
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, or Management Accounting role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence working alongside senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint; experience with financial planning systems is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to influence decisions through clear financial insight and commercial awareness.
