Our client is a growing engineering and manufacturing company specialising in the design and delivery of bespoke equipment solutions for the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of complex engineered-to-order projects, managing delivery from project handover through to final client acceptance.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong project management discipline, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple complex engineering projects simultaneously.
- Lead project initiation, scope definition, planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder alignment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, and issue logs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, resources, and project performance.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to achieve project milestones.
- Control project scope and manage change requests through structured change control processes.
- Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Ensure compliance with documentation and quality requirements within a regulated environment.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and project reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' project management experience within engineering, equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, or other regulated industries.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience working within structured project management frameworks and governance processes.
- Engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
- PMP, Prince2, APM, or similar project management certification desirable.
- Familiarity with regulated industry documentation and quality requirements is advantageous.
