Sustainability Lead
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sustainability professional to take ownership of an organisation's ESG strategy and play a pivotal role in driving its decarbonisation journey. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll lead high-impact initiatives across climate action, regulatory compliance, responsible sourcing and sustainability reporting, helping to shape the company's long-term environmental strategy.

Key Duties:
- Own and lead the annual calculation, analysis and reporting of Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions in line with the GHG Protocol.
- Enhance the quality and accuracy of Scope 3 emissions data by leveraging Sphera (GaBi) and collaborating with suppliers to replace assumptions with product-specific lifecycle assessments.
- Develop, implement and continuously evolve the company's Climate Transition Plan, ensuring measurable progress towards ambitious decarbonisation targets.
- Drive quarterly reviews of carbon reduction initiatives and report progress to senior leadership.
- Lead the preparation and validation of the organisation's near and long-term Science Based Targets (SBTi), positioning the business as a leader in climate action.
- Lead the organisation's CSRD readiness programme and ensure compliance with evolving European sustainability regulations.
- Design robust, audit-ready ESG reporting systems and governance frameworks aligned with ESRS requirements.
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations and external assurance providers to deliver high-quality sustainability disclosures.
- Take ownership of the annual EcoVadis assessment, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving initiatives to achieve Platinum status.
- Monitor emerging ESG legislation and sustainability trends, acting as the organisation's trusted expert on regulatory developments and climate-related risks.
- Develop insightful executive dashboards and present sustainability performance, carbon metrics and strategic updates to the Board.
- Lead the supplier sustainability audit programme, ensuring annual audit targets are achieved across the global supply chain.
Ideal Candidate:
You'll be an experienced sustainability leader who combines technical expertise with commercial awareness and the ability to influence at every level of the business.
- A degree (Master's preferred) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering Business or a related discipline.
- 7+ years' experience within corporate sustainability or ESG, including several years in a senior leadership capacity.
- A proven track record of developing and delivering successful carbon transition strategies.
- Experience leading Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) submissions or validations.
- Strong knowledge of CSRD, ESRS and sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Hands-on experience managing EcoVadis assessments and driving continuous improvement.
- Experience conducting or overseeing supplier sustainability audits is highly desirable.
- Outstanding project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build strong relationships across international teams.
