The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across road, sea, and air freight operations. This position requires a strong understanding of Irish customs regulations, import/export procedures, and customs compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit Import and Export Customs Declarations accurately and within required timelines.
- Complete ENS, PBN, and associated customs documentation across road, sea, and air freight movements.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams and international offices to ensure seamless cargo movement and customs compliance.
- Liaise directly with customers, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders to obtain required documentation and resolve clearance queries.
- Develop and maintain customs declaration templates to improve efficiency and consistency for regular transactions.
- Support customs compliance initiatives and internal audit processes to ensure adherence to AEO standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational excellence within the customs function.
Essential Requirements
Azyra experience is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of two years' hands-on experience using the Azyra Warehouse Management System (WMS) and customs processing platform. Applications without proven Azyra experience will not be considered.
In addition, candidates must possess:
- 2-4 years' experience in Customs Clearance within Ireland.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish Revenue Customs regulations and procedures.
- Experience completing customs declarations across import and export operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience liaising with regulatory authorities including DAFM, HSE, Port Health, and other government agencies.
