Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and trainees.
• Workflow allocation, monitor deadline tracking, and ensure team productivity and quality control.
• Act as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
• Address client queries promptly, providing expert advice on day-to-day financial, VAT, and tax matters.
• Oversee and perform statutory account preparation for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Review and submit complex VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with tax legislation.
• Prepare and review Corporation Tax (CT) computations and Personal Tax (SATR) filings.
• Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients where appropriate.
• Manage a small selection of client audits from initial planning through to field completion and partner review.
• Ensure audit files comply with statutory standards and practice guidelines.

Key Requirements

• 5 years PQE
• Irish Accounting Practice experience essential
• ACA/ACCA qualified
