An exciting contract opportunity has opened for an Engineering Project Manager to support a busy, growing chemical solutions provider. This role is responsible for the full-cycle execution of engineering projects, ensuring technical milestones are met within a dynamic and evolving operational landscape
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Lifecycle: Lead end-to-end engineering projects from initial scoping and capital approval through to execution, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while exceeding Safety and Quality KPIs.
- Technical Execution & Startup: Manage commissioning, qualification, and validation for processing equipment, facilitating Constructability, Maintainability, and Operability studies to ensure long-term performance.
- Compliance, Risk & Safety: Oversee all activities and documentation in strict accordance with industry regulations, EHS standards, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), leading investigations and championing a "Safety-First" culture.
- Stakeholder & Resource Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between business leads, vendors, and internal departments to manage specialist trades and ensure seamless cross-functional integration.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Education: Level 8 degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven project management experience within a highly regulated environment.
- Tools: Proficiency in project management software is highly preferred).
- Leadership: Exceptional influencing capabilities; able to lead cross-functional teams and drive an environment of continuous improvement and open communication.
- Soft Skills: Ability to act on own initiative with excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting retrospective performance,
