Job Description

This is an exciting and busy environment with plenty of challenging and dynamic projects.

We are looking to recruit a competent and professional Project Co-ordinator with an engineering background to join their team.

The candidate will assist the General Manager with creating and monitoring of both projects and timelines for clients. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and have the ability to analyse and summarize quotations and specifications to define the project requirements for the Design Team.

This role would include management of the production schedule, ensuring you are liaising with the relevant departments with updates on the progress of the project. You will also be involved in ensuring that production deadlines are adhered to and in line with the Project plan.

The candidate will be required to regularly communicate with external stakeholders to provide them with regular project updates whilst creating action registers and then ensuring any open points are closed in a timely manner. The candidate will assist with the creation of the machine manuals and documentation. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator and will preferably have gained experience from a manufacturing or engineering background.

Duties:

Initial project start-up: Analyze quotations and specifications to define project requirements and present a concise information pack to the Design Team.

Planning:

  • Regular updating of the project plan
  • Regular customer contacting/updating during course of project
  • Generate action register's during course of the project and follow through on all open points

Documentation:

  • Manuals - Assist the Design Team with the creation and issuing of machine manual documentation
  • Ensure Factory Acceptance Documentation is prepared for customer sign-off of equipment
  • Organize commissioning

Project Co-Ordinator:

  • Follow-ups on action register after commissioning
  • Additional ad-hoc duties

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent communication skllls- both written and verbal

You must possess a high standard of computer skills- Microsoft Project is highly desirable

Highly organized and able to prioritise workload efficiently

Excellent attention to detail and ability to take instruction

Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines

Project co-ordination; managing various projects in terms of specifications, planning, and deployment and close out

Assist in the monitoring of project work schedule to ensure on time and accurate delivery

Strong technical aptitude, highly desirable

Qualifications and Experience:

Accredited NFQ Level 8 Honors bachelor's degree in relevant discipline

At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
