An exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment as a Production Shift Manager with an ever-growing company

• Job Summary: Coordinate and supervise daily activities of assigned operations staff to ensure safe and efficient facility operation. Responsible for monitoring plant systems, conducting safety reviews, and coordinating personnel during emergencies. Also serves as the emergency coordinator in the absence of the Facility/Department Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee safe and compliant facility operation on rotating shifts.
• Monitor and operate boilers, turbines, switchgear, and auxiliary systems.
• Tour plant areas and supervise operating staff.
• Direct operations and corrective actions during emergencies.
• Approve equipment maintenance requests and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Conduct regular safety reviews for operators.
• Supervise and evaluate a group of employees in the Operations Department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations, including high-pressure boilers and electric generation equipment.
• Secondary education (or Irish Leaving Certificate) required; engineering degree desirable.
• Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, plant drawings, and regulations.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills in non-standardized situations.
• Proactive approach to preventing equipment damage and ensuring personnel safety during emergencies.
• Ability to motivate employees, maintain high morale, and foster respect.
