About the job
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer with a strong background in electronics procurement to join our clients growing supply chain team. This newly created role will work closely with a fellow senior buyer and cross-functional departments to support a robust, future-focused sourcing strategy.
As a key member of the team, you will manage a portfolio of global suppliers, balancing cost, quality, and delivery while actively contributing to the organisation's sustainability objectives. You'll lead strategic negotiations, identify and develop high-performing suppliers, manage material risks, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure seamless supply chain performance.
What You'll Do

Develop and manage key supplier relationships for electronic components

Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead times using up-to-date market intelligence

Contribute to procurement strategy and continuous process improvement

Drive cost-reduction initiatives and mitigate material availability risks

Work closely with internal teams to support production and project needs

Maintain strong market and technical knowledge within the electronics sector
What You'll Bring

7+ years' experience in procurement, specifically electronics

Strong negotiation skills and proven cost-saving achievements

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems

Clear, effective communication with global suppliers and internal stakeholders

Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
