Job Description

This is a really exciting opportunity for an innovative Communications Professional to join a vibrant international company based in Dublin West.

Role: Communications & Philanthropy Manager

Location: Dublin West

Duration: 12 months

Salary: €66k per annum

Our client is looking for an innovative Communications & Philanthropy Manager to join their vibrant team for this 12 month contract. The successful candidate will have experience in communications in a legislated/regulatory environment and will understand media liaison. There are three key areas of this role; internal communications, external communications and community investment.

Internal Communications

  • Organise and compere market business updates/townhalls (virtual and in person)

  • Organise and compere townhalls/Q&A sessions with WE regional leadership (virtual and in person)

  • Support on execution of internal comms initiatives.

  • Cross team communications support.

  • Preparation of internal FAQ's/updates on key business issues.

  • Point of contact for company brand guidelines

External Communications

  • Daily media monitoring and briefing management as required on relevant topics.

  • Preparing and responding to requests from the media for comment.

  • Identifying opportunities for proactive media engagement.

  • Development of trade media adverts and drafting of editorial to educate on regulatory change.

  • Development of sales team collateral/digital assets to educate customers on regulatory change.

Community Investment

  • Managing the annual charitable budget.

  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders on annual reporting requirements.

  • Providing periodic progress updates to an internal audience.

  • Delivery of volunteering programmes and employee engagement opportunities.

  • Participation in the Community Care Committee.

  • Supporting cross functional colleagues to arrange team volunteering events.

Requirements:

  • Third Level Degree in a relevant field.

  • 3+ years experience in a similar Communications role, ideally in a regulatory/legislated environment.

  • FMCG experience would be beneficial. Trade communications would also be advantageous.

  • Excellent relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive, proactive, collaborative and confident individual.
