Job Description

A Global Pharmaceutical Company seeks a Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a four month contract to support all areas of QC Purchasing

Job Objectives

  • To take responsibility for Purchasing Area of QC efficiently and accurately
  • Manage and maintain the compliance of QC/MS&T/AS&T documentation control as per the Company's Quality System and cGMP Guidelines
  • In charge of documentation control within the QC lab
  • To assist QC in the implementation of cGMP and quality documentation systems
  • To adhere to any agreed internal laboratory rota tasks
  • Liaising with other departments in relation to QC dispatch of samples
  • To liaise with external suppliers/vendors in relation to QC consumables
  • Ensure safe practices are adhered to at all times in the laboratory
  • Provide support to QC laboratory colleagues
  • Supporting an environment of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing practices to deliver efficiency, cost reduction, quality and service level improvements
  • To ensure that all company procedures and policies are adhered to

Main Activities

  • Obtaining quotations from vendors for QC and creating PR's
  • Sending PR's for approval and sharing with vendors
  • Receiving materials and storing appropriately
  • Goods receipting (GR's) on SAP and matching invoice queries
  • Following up on queries with vendors
  • Weekly stock check of QC laboratory materials
  • Responsible for the administration of QC documentation systems, maintaining the compliance of documentation control
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Hovione policies and procedures, and as per cGMP Guidelines and other regulatory standards, triggering actions if necessary
  • Ensures accuracy, completeness, and conformity of the QC document system
  • Processes, issues and tracks QC logbooks and analyst notebooks
  • Key user of electronic document and training management system and provides training and support to QC users
  • Serves as administrator for Trainstream (setting up new employees, pushing e-learnings, updating training plans on the system)
  • Performs duties in a timely manner and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules and regulations
  • Gives administration support to the QC areas
  • Any other tasks which may reasonably be required in accordance with the business needs and keeping with the nature of the role
