Job Description

Due to the continued growth of an extremely successful engineering company based in Cork an opportunity exists for a Process Engineer to take a leading role in the delivery of high class products.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify existing processes to ISO 9001 standards on new equipment including necessary protocols and summary reports to support increased capacity and expected growth

  • Responsibility for providing engineering support to production activities.

  • Identify and implement methods to reduce cost, reduce scrap, increase capacity, increase safety and increase production efficiency.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, supply chain, and outside suppliers.

  • Participate in failure investigations, root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and preventive actions.

  • Optimise, troubleshoot and maintain existing processes and control systems to improve quality, efficiency and safety.

  • Improve existing processes through the elimination of process variance & deliver a consistent yield & quality of product.
  • Introduce new processes & technologies when required.
  • Meet deadlines to develop & implement the process improvement programmes.

  • Collect production data and apply standard scientific and statistical methods to analyse, document, and diagram production processes.

  • Provide hands-on support for product and process development.
  • Provide hands-on support for maintaining and fixing process equipment

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified in engineering or similar

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role

  • Experience working to ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 Standards is not required but is an advantage.

  • Experience with HACCP and Six Sigma.

  • Ability to communicate and write effectively

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
