About the role
As a Regional Finance Manager in APAC, you will play a vital role in managing finance operations, budgeting, reporting, and providing leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all external accounting functions and ensure the timely production of accurate statutory financial statements across APAC entities.
- Manage regional corporate tax compliance, GST/VAT filings, transfer pricing policies, and coordinate effectively with external auditors and local tax authorities.
- Maintain a robust internal control framework, ensuring all regional business operations strictly adhere to local financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Lead and mentor a regional team of 3 finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring clear operational accountability.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital cycles, and risk exposures, implementing corrective actions to safeguard regional financial health.
- Act as the primary governance bridge between regional operations and global headquarters, providing technical accounting insights to the Group CFO and APAC Business Unit Head.
Requirements
- 7+ years of finance and accounting experience, with a solid track record in a Regional Controller or Finance Manager capacity within a multinational B2B environment.
- Strong expertise in managing complex statutory audits, corporate tax structures, and regulatory compliance across multiple APAC markets.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing remote or cross-border finance teams.
- University degree in Finance/Accounting; holding a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- A hands-on leader who can dive deep into complex accounting and tax code issues while maintaining a strategic view of risk management.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English (written and verbal) is mandatory to collaborate with global leadership.
