This Associate Director, Finance & IT will build the Finance and IT functions from scratch.
Core Financial Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning: Lead annual budgeting, long-term forecasting, and the coordination of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) spending cycles across divisions.
- Financial Analysis & FP&A: Develop insightful analytics and performance dashboards to track KPIs, highlight revenue trends, and recommend corrective actions to executive boards.
- Accounting & Controls: Oversee day-to-day corporate finance functions including working capital management, cash flow forecasting, treasury, and statutory reporting.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure absolute adherence to global accounting standards (such as IFRS or US GAAP), tax regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
Core Information Technology (IT) Responsibilities
- Process Automation & Digitization: Champion digital transformation initiatives, leaning on process automation and AI tools to drastically increase department productivity.
- Financial Systems Management: Drive the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools and Financial Management Systems.
- IT Infrastructure Oversight: Monitor data capabilities, system upgrades, and IT performance metrics to evaluate overall operating costs and infrastructure productivity.
- Data Security & Governance: Enforce strict IT security governance, coordinate compliance audits, and protect sensitive financial databases from vulnerabilities.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Serve as the central IT and Finance focal point, translating complex business unit needs into practical, budget-conscious tech solutions.
- Team Management: Direct, mentor, and upskill a cross-functional team of finance professionals, software specialists, and system analysts.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Liaison: Oversee relationships with banking institutions, software vendors, and external auditors, while presenting clear updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree holder with a professional accountancy qualification
- At least 15 years of experience, with exposure on Finance & IT
- Prior experience in Big 4 firms would be preferred
- Fluent Cantonese, English and Mandarin
