Assistant Finance Manager (Natural resources sector)

You will be part of a lean finance team and have real ownership of reporting, consolidation and finance‑led projects that shape the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities for the group, prepare consolidation and deliver timely consolidated financial statements.

• Produce management accounts, variance analysis for senior management.

• Lead / support finance projects / business projects.

• Support statutory reporting, audits and regulatory filings; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis, support budgeting/forecast cycles and commercial decision-making.

Qualifications and requirements

• Professional qualification (HKICPA/CPA/ACCA) is a must.

• 5-8 years' experience with mandatory Big‑4 audit background plus minimum 2+ years in an in‑house finance role.

• Hands‑on experience in group consolidation, multi‑entity accounting and intercompany eliminations.

• Proven project management experience is a plus (please state.)

• Advanced Excel skills (including VBA), and experience with ERP systems.

• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and ability to present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.

• Excellent communication in English,Cantonese, and Mandarin.

• Proactive, adaptable, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
