Role overview
The Senior Merchandiser will support the production process for sports and accessories categories, with a strong focus on production for bags, headbands, hats, yoga mats and related products. The role is responsible for driving on‑time delivery, margin, quality and continual product improvement across multiple China and offshore suppliers and markets.
Key responsibilities

Support the production follow‑up to shipment for sports bags, headbands, hats, yoga mats and other accessories.

Manage daily communication with factories and vendors to monitor production status, solve issues, and ensure on‑time delivery and compliance with quality, testing and safety standards.

Coordinate closely with sourcing, development and quality teams to translate concepts into commercial products and to secure smooth bulk production.

Analyze inventory performance of assigned categories and propose actions on replenishment and phase‑out.

Monitor factories performance to improve cost, lead time and product innovation within the sports and accessories segment.

Prepare and maintain accurate costing sheets, T&A (time and action) schedules, order status reports and production documents.

Monitor market and competitor activities in sports accessories and share regular insights on trends, construction, functions and price points.
Requirements

8-12 years' relevant merchandising and productions experience, preferably in sportswear, bags and fashion accessories, with solid exposure to production follow‑up.

Proven track record in handling bags, caps/hats, headbands, yoga mats or similar soft accessories on bulk production.

Hands‑on experience working with Asian manufacturing bases (e.g. China/SEA), including frequent factory communication and problem solving on the production floor.

Good numerical sense with experience in costing, margin analysis and basic sales or inventory reporting.

Detail‑minded, well organized, proactive, able to manage multiple seasons and orders under tight timelines.

Strong communication and negotiation skills; good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with PLM or ERP systems is an advantage.
