Responsibilities
Manage end‑to‑end product lifecycle for bags and accessories: from material sourcing, sampling, costing, and order placement to production follow‑up and on‑time delivery.
Lead product development for seasonal bags and accessories ranges in line with brand DNA, quality standards and target margin.
Work closely with design, buying, planning and quality teams to translate concepts into commercially viable products and ensure smooth handover from development to bulk.
Drive daily communication with factories and buying‑office stakeholders to monitor the critical path, resolve issues and secure on‑time, in‑full shipment.
Evaluate and select suitable manufacturers (no trading offices) for bags and accessories, ensuring capability, cost competitiveness and compliance.
Follow up on proto, SMS and pre‑production samples, coordinate testing/inspection, and ensure all technical and safety standards are met.
Track order status, flag risks early, and propose corrective actions to protect delivery and margin.
Prepare basic reports on order status, delivery, costing and margin to support internal reviews and decision-making.
Requirements
5-8 years of relevant merchandising experience in bags and/or fashion accessories, preferably with apparel brands.
Current or prior experience in brand buying offices or manufacturers; candidates from pure trading offices OR 10+ years of experience will not be considered.
Solid hands‑on experience in product development and end‑to‑end order execution, including sourcing, costing, sampling and bulk production follow‑up.
Good understanding of bags/accessories materials, construction and production processes; experience with Asian manufacturing bases is an advantage.
Proactive, positive attitude, willing to learn and open to feedback; able to work independently while being a strong team player.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and good time‑management under tight deadlines.
Good command of written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
